Electoral Dysfunction, a feature-length documentary created by a team of award-winning filmmakers, uses humor and wit to take an irreverent—but nonpartisan—look at voting in America. Following a dual premiere at the 2012 Republican and Democratic National Conventions, the program was broadcast nationally on PBS and had its cable premiere in 2016 on Pivot. It can be viewed in streaming format on Vudu, iTunes, Google Play and Amazon Prime. It is also available on DVD for home, educational and institutional use.
Hosted by political humorist Mo Rocca — a correspondent for CBS Sunday Morning, a panelist on NPR's hit quiz show Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me!, and a former correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart — the film opens as Mo makes an eye-opening discovery: The U.S. Constitution does not guarantee the right to vote.

On Saturday, September 24, 2016, the award-winning Classroom Edition of ELECTORAL DYSFUNCTION will be featured at a conference on “Teaching About the 2016 Elections: Preparing Students for Political Engagement.” Hosted by the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, this day-long conference is an opportunity for K-12 teachers to learn about election-related issues; to receive training in effective learning strategies; and to be introduced to national civic education programs and their curricula. The film will be featured at a keynote session for all conference attendees; a breakout session will offer educators the opportunity to delve more deeply into the curriculum that accompanies the Classroom Edition. Where do I begin? Fantastic delivery of a very dry topic. Yet the information is so necessary to our young voters. This is a prime example of how through humor, graphics, intelligent writing, and great narration, you can educate all of us, not just children. Outstanding film!

On Friday, March 4, 2016, the California Council for the Social Studies will feature three screenings and discussions of the ELECTORAL DYSFUNCTION CLASSROOM EDITION at its annual conference in Costa Mesa. Hosted by political humorist Mo Rocca and officially endorsed by NCSS, the Classroom Edition is a 36-minute version of the award-winning PBS documentary on voting and voting rights. The ELECTORAL DYSFUNCTION team is planning to give free copies of the Classroom Edition DVD to at least 500 conference attendees.
